LoL Patch 26.20 Notes

Riot's Worlds patch went live on October 7, 2026. The notes, written by Austin Wright, Erika Haas, and Steven Earnest, tune pro staples and hand compensation to champions who lose Hextech Rocketbelt as a free Flash. Source: the official game update. Client data for items and kits on this site is Data Dragon 16.20.1.

Official 26.20 notes

Summoner's Rift champions

  • Ambessanerf

Drakehound's Step damage is 5-25 (+20% bonus AD), down from 5-30 (+25% bonus AD). Riot called out late-game reliability in pro play.

  • Ashenerf

Attack damage per level is 3, down from 3.5. She stays the utility marksman, with less raw damage at full build.

  • Cassiopeianerf

Base health 610 (was 630) and base mana 450 (was 480). The early lane is the target, not her late DPS.

  • Dianabuff

Pale Cascade shield bonus health ratio is 14%, up from 11%. The bruiser build is the one this change helps.

  • Kennenbuff

Lightning Rush bonus attack speed is 50/60/70/80/90%, up 10 points at each rank, partly to offset the Rocketbelt haste cut.

  • Kindredbuff

Wolf's Frenzy deals 165% to monsters (was 150%). Mounting Dread slow lasts 1.5 seconds and no longer marks small monsters.

  • K'Santenerf

Path Maker costs 5 more mana at each rank. Damage reduction is 25% in the base form and 70% in All Out (was 30% / 75%).

  • Lilliabuff

Lilting Lullaby sleep lasts 2.5 / 2.75 / 3 seconds. Rank 2 and rank 3 gained a quarter second and a half second.

  • Lucianbuff

Attack damage growth is 2.9 per level, up from 2.5, after the previous patch landed as a bot-lane nerf.

  • Mordekaiserbuff

Obliterate gains +7 damage per level from 10 to 20 (was +5). Realm of Death cooldown is 120 / 110 / 100 seconds.

  • Neekobuff

Tangle-Barbs base damage is up 10 at each rank. The empowered root starts at 2 seconds. Compensation for the Rocketbelt change.

  • Smolderbuff

Crit scaling on Dragon Practice is higher, and MMOOOMMMM! self-heal is 100 / 175 / 250. Riot wants crit closer to the bruiser build.

  • Swainadjust

Base magic resist 34 (was 31) and base armor 23 (was 25). Vision of Empire damage and cooldown both improved for mid.

  • Tahm Kenchbuff

    Tongue Lash base healing is 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50, up from a much flatter 10 to 25 curve, after support-item changes.

  • Vaynebuff

Health regen is 5.5 (+0.4 per level). Tumble mana cost is a flat 30 again.

  • Yunaranerf

Cultivation of Spirit on-hit is 2 lower at each rank. Arc of Judgement no longer stacks with other slows.

Items

  • Experimental Hexplate

Ranged users keep 50% of the attack speed and move speed (25% attack speed, 10% move speed), down from 70% of the value. Melee is unchanged. Riot called out ranged top as a first-item rush.

  • Hextech Rocketbelt

Ability haste is 10, down from 20. The active deals 135 (+15% AP), up from 100 (+10% AP). It is a worse generic Flash and a better all-in for AP bruisers.

  • Runaan's Hurricane

Each bolt deals 60% attack damage, down from 65%.

Riot also hid most item counters on the scoreboard. Death's Dance, Liandry's Torment, Riftmaker, Kraken Slayer, Terminus, Guinsoo's Rageblade, Spear of Shojin, Heartsteel's relatives such as Overlord's Bloodmail, Hullbreaker, Jak'Sho, and Force of Nature no longer spam combat numbers on the tab screen. Tear items and Mejai's Soulstealer still show stacks, because those numbers change how you play the next fight.

Systems

Replays are private starting with this patch. You can download matches you played. Other players and third-party sites cannot pull your replay file. Riot paired that with tighter limits on third-party reads of game memory, aimed at cheat tools. VOD review of your own games in the client still works.

HEARTSTEEL Live My Life skins for Ezreal, Kayn, Aphelios, Yone, and K'Sante, plus Prestige Sett and Prestige Classic Baron Kog'Maw, went on sale October 7, 2026. Classic mode added pre-rework Aatrox, Caitlyn, Irelia, Karma, and Quinn. The Act II battle pass is scheduled for patch 26.21, not this one.
